Girl Scouts

We at Hybid LOVE the Girl Scouts!

We hope you will bring your Brownies and Girl Scouts to Hybid Farm to earn their badges or just to have fun.  Let us know what your goals are and we can design the day to help you accomplish all you want to do.

Your day at Hybid can be as simple as:

  • A one-hour program learning about horses and everyday horse care (covering topics like stall cleaning, basic equine nutrition, tack care/cleaning, grooming, tacking up and safety while working around the horses, etc)
  • Or you can add another hour and have a horseback lesson as well. Girls Scouts will have a fun and safe riding experience while learning 1) the importance of their safety tack check before getting on, 2) how to safely and effectively ride while learning about riding aids, position and balance.

The choices for the riding portion of the program can be:

  • Trail ride
  • Group Lesson
  • Gymkhana (mounted games)

So come for an hour of knowledge or two hours of fun packed horse related knowledge and riding. Whichever you decide, it will be a day well spent out of doors and in an old fashion New England barn with some amazing horses.

The Cost:

Please email Johanna for quote and get your outing on the calendar: johanna@hybidfarm.com.

We hold parties in rain or shine..so come prepared with the appropriate weather gear! However, if the rain is very bad or weather just too miserable we will work with you to reschedule the party on a different day and you will not lose your desposit.  We need time to cancel the instructor and all our counselors who come to help, so please contact us ASAP by calling the barn: 978-263-0063, emailing Johanna: johannahybid@gmail.com and Rita: rita@hybidfarm.com .

For Safety purposes….we try to have a counselor for every guest along with our instructor. This ensures a safe time for each of your guests no matter their riding ability.  SAFETY is our first Priority!
