Good week for Hybid Farm The Hybid Farm Pony Club had a successful week competing in the United States Pony Club Championships at theVirginia Riding Center in Lexington, Va.

After winning the USPC Central New England Regional event in June, the Hybid Farm Pony Club Advanced Games team, Shock Wave, was invited to represent the Region at the USPC Championships July 29-Aug. 2. The team’s riders include Adrienne Beerman, Liza Dawley, Rachel Ehlers, Caroline Kielar and Aly Werth. Riding against other teams over three days and 24 races, Shock Wave placed fourth overall and was awarded first place in horse management. Hybid Farm Pony Club members Maddie Carey, Nicole Kula, and Isabella Caruso as well as Gina Koss-Stephany from the Apple Valley Pony Club competed at the USPC Championships for the Central New England Region’s Senior D division quiz team. After three days of classroom, barn, written, and oral examinations they placed first of 17 teams in their division. Over 500 competitors from 26 regions participated in this year’s USPC Championships in Lexington, Va.

“Hybid Farm in Acton, Mass., has also enjoyed great success as a Pony Club Riding Center. “I love how complete the program is,” explains Assistant Center Administrator and farm owner Rita-Marie McConnon. Similar to Sara, Rita is also impressed at how supportive the older members are. “The older kids are great mentors,” she explains. Rita was new to Pony Club when she was approached by USPC three years ago about making Hybid Farm a Pony Club Riding Center. Since then, she has continued to learn more about the organization. “I had no idea how many resources were available to us through Pony Club until now,” she explains.”
