RITA-MARIE McCONNON is a licensed riding instructor (Lic. #3349). She has been the owner and manager of Hybid Farm for 30 years. She has shared her knowledge of horses with the community by offering a number of horsemanship clinics for community organizations such as 4-H, Pony Club, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, residential girls from Boston, ODP students from the high school, and for girls at a residential home in Concord. She has served on the Middlesex Horse Advisory Board and is a member of Massachusetts Association of Stable Owners, Operators and Instructors. She has also served on the Acton/Boxborough Youth Soccer board, as a youth leader in her church and as a substitute teacher in the Acton school system for many years. Rita-Marie was approached by the United States Pony Club organization to become the pilot program in the United States for their Riding Centers four years ago. She is proud of having sent her first group of Upper Level Pony Clubbers for their C3 national ratings this summer. Rita-Marie is certified in CPR and First Aid, and is the proud mother of three sons and the exceedingly proud grandmother of Lilah Rose McConnon!
